Biography

I obtained my Bachelor degree in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2013. During the last year, I spent one semester at Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France for the Erasmus exchange program and I completed a thesis entitled “Wave equation in anisotropic media. Numerical application and stability analysis”.

In 2015, I received a Master degree in Computational Science and Engineering  from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. As part of my master program, I have done an internship at ABB, where I worked on Whitney forms in computational electromagnetism, and I worked on “Adaptive WENO methods based on non-polynomial reconstructions” under the supervision of Professor Hesthaven.

After graduation, I’ve joined  the MCSS Chair as a research assistant and, since January 2016, I am pursuing my PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. Hesthaven.

Research interests

Uncertainty quantification, Machine Learning Algorithms, Reduced Order Modeling, Numerical Methods for PDEs, Conservation Laws
